Pilgrim's Reckoning

This is an 81-mile circular ultra-running event set on the historic Bunyan Trail in Bedfordshire. Competitors have 24 hours to complete the full loop, following the route exactly as waymarked by the official Bunyan Way markers throughout.

The course offers a varied mix of rural paths, villages, and open countryside, providing a challenging but runnable long-distance experience.

  • Distance: 81 miles (circular route)

  • Navigation: Fully waymarked using official Bunyan Way markers

Support on Course

  • 6 fully stocked aid stations positioned around the route

  • Drop-bag service available at one designated aid station

  • Medical support provided on route throughout the event

  • Live tracking for all participants for safety and spectator viewing

Finishers’ Rewards

  • All finishers receive a bespoke event medal

  • Finishers’ T-shirt included for those completing within the time limit

This event is designed to balance self-sufficiency with structured support, offering a classic British ultra experience on an established long-distance trail.

Refund & Deferral Policy

All entries for this event are non-refundable. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to injury, illness, personal circumstances, travel disruption, or adverse weather conditions.

Deferrals

  • Runners may defer their entry to another event organised by us up to 4 weeks (28 days) before race day.

  • Deferral requests must be made in writing before the 4-week cut-off.

  • Deferrals requested within 4 weeks of the event will not be accepted.

  • Deferred entries cannot be transferred again or refunded.

  • Deferrals are subject to availability and may be limited to specific events at the organiser’s discretion.



Instalment Plan

  • You may pay in equal instalments up to a either a maximum set by the organizer or monthly up to one month before the event, whichever is less.
  • There is an additional fee of 1% + £0.50 for each instalment.
  • You are responsible for ensuring payments are made, missing payments may mean removal from the event and loss of any monies paid to date.
