Glendalough Lap of the Gap
Ireland’s toughest and highest road marathon, a mountain challenge through the heart of Wicklow. ⛰️🇮🇪
Starting in the historic valley of Glendalough, Lap of the Gap takes you deep into the spectacular Wicklow Mountains National Park. Expect sweeping mountain roads, serious climbs, dramatic descents and some of the most unforgettable scenery in Ireland.
Marathon runners will climb past the spectacular Glenmacnass Waterfall, cross the iconic Sally Gap, and take in views towards Lough Tay (Guinness Lake) before completing the mountain loop.

Take on the full mountain loop and experience Wicklow at its most dramatic, from the climbs and high mountain roads to the sweeping descents back towards Glendalough.
HALF MARATHON
A shorter distance with no shortage of challenge. Take on the big climb, soak up the mountain views, then enjoy the reward of a fast, flowing descent.
Come for the challenge. Stay for the scenery. Finish with a story worth telling.

Refunds
- You may Refund yourself the entry cost less 100% until 3 days after you purchase.

Ticket Transfers
- You may transfer your ticket to another of our events for FREE until the cutoff date of 01/05/2027. After this date ticket transfers are no longer possible.

Ticket Substitutions

Instalment Plan
- You may pay in equal instalments up to a either a maximum set by the organizer or monthly up to one month before the event, whichever is less.
- There is an additional fee of 1% + €0.50 for each instalment.
- You are responsible for ensuring payments are made, missing payments may mean removal from the event and loss of any monies paid to date.
